The next Sunday 23 FebruaryValencia will be the starting signal for the Failures 2025 with the traditional Crida in the Serranos Towers.

This year, the event, entitled "Despertant els nostres cors" (Awakening our hearts)will feature a revamped show that replaces digital projections with a live experience with music, dance and aerial acrobatics.

What does the Crida consist of?

The Crida is the event that officially marks the beginning of the Fallas.

It is celebrated on the last Sunday in February and is starred by the Falleras Mayores of Valenciawho, from the Serranos Towers invite Valencians and visitors to take part in the festivities.

During the event, official speeches are made and a fireworks display lights up the city, symbolising the start of weeks of Fallas festivities and tradition.

The festive day will start early with the Macrodespertàevents in which thousands of falleros will walk through the streets of the city, awakening the Valencia with the roar of their firecrackers.

Subsequently, the Town Hall Square will be the setting for a parade of marching bandsfollowed by the first MascletàThe 'most eagerly awaited event of the year, one of the most gunpowder lovers.

The main act of the Crida will take place at 19:30 at the Serranos Towers.

What spectacle will be seen prior to the Crida?

In this edition, the show will feature the participation of Valencian artists such as Lorena Calero y Gonzalo Manglanowho will perform El Fallero' (The Fallero) together with 30 children from the Choir of Our Lady of the Forsaken.

The dubbing actress Pilar Martínez will give voice, for the first time, to the historical towers, while the Sylphes Aerial Ballet company will present impressive aerial choreographies.

In addition, the group Les Folies de Carcaixent will evoke iconic images of the Fallas through a theatrical performance.

In order to ensure the safety and comfort of the attendees, the following will be established access controls supervised by the Local PoliceThe aim is to prevent the entry of alcoholic beverages and uncivic behaviour.

Those unable to attend will be able to enjoy the event live through the Junta Central Fallera and on his official Instagram channel.

  • 07:30 h - Macrodespertà' (Calles de la Paz and San Vicente to Plaza del Ayuntamiento)
  • 12:00 h - Parade of marching bands (Town Hall Square)
  • 14:00 h - First 'Mascletà' of the year (Town Hall Square)
  • 19:30 h - Main event of the Crida (Torres de Serranos)
