What was discussed at the real estate innovation event?

The day revolved around three fundamental axes, which are transforming the way we conceive, build and sell housing:

Energy efficiency: from a challenge to a required standard

One of the central themes was the energy efficiencyan aspect that we at Lumina Properties consider to be non-negotiable in our projects. During the event it was highlighted how the integration of sustainable materials, state-of-the-art insulation y passive systems is no longer an option: it is a requirement of the modern buyer and of the new European regulations.

In addition, the importance of energy certification was discussed, and how in many cases an A-rated home can increase in value by as much as 20% compared to similar ones.

At Lumina Properties we have been committed for years to efficient housing in neighbourhoods such as Pla del Remei o in Urbanizacion el Bosque Chivaintegrating technology and sustainability as a real added value.

Industrialised construction: speed, quality and control

Another of the most talked-about blocks at the event was the innovation in the real estate sector was that of the industrialised construction. Myths were debunked: these are not low-quality "prefabs", but rather factory controlled production systems that guarantee better delivery times, reduced waste, greater safety on site and, above all, a better quality of life, much tighter costs.

In the words of several invited experts: "The 70% of delays and cost overruns of a traditional construction site disappear with industrialised systems."

At Nuwe Construction and Architecture -the technical division of our group- we are already applying these systems in developments and integral refurbishments in urbanisations such as La Cañada, Campolivar y El Bosque.

Buying homes with bitcoin: a booming reality

The most disruptive part came with the block on cryptocurrencies and blockchain in the real estate sector. And it was precisely Vicente PastorCEO of Lumina Properties, who took part as a speaker and representative of real cases bitcoin trading in Spain.
